Azerbaijan - the Columbus Challenge

In 1998, I lead an HSBC sponsored project that:

• created a computer centre and English language school in Azerbaijan;
• fitted out a computer centre in a city centre school in Birmingham;
• climbed mountains in Azerbaijan and the UK;
• raised GBP140,000;
• got a colleague and I the radio, and the team on TV; and,
• involved a VERY hairy man volunteering to undergo a full body wax!
